I’m so far behind with my blogging it’s not funny. This has been a hell of a month. But one thing I can say: it sure hasn’t been boring.
I was gonna do a whole blog just on Milwaukee, and then one just on Chicago. But then I had to race back to Barcelona, do a show, and get on a plane to NYC. My first vacation in years! It was nice to finally go to the U.S. for pleasure and not for family distress.
It’s weird being back in NY. I lived there from 1996-1999. So much has changed. The top photo is of one of the few places that remain: Max Fish, a bar I used to drink at on the Lower East Side. All the places I used to perform are gone, though. But I still love the place, more than ever. It’s the best city on earth.
I’ve taken hundreds of photos but I only have time to post a couple right now. How ’bout some delicious, excessive American-Russian-Jewish breakfast food, along with the endless cup of coffee, at the world-famous Veselka?

Hi, Rachel.
I’m so glad that you be now in NYC in vacation. You deserve it. Very nice photo, if someday (I hope next year) I go to NYC I try to find this bar to drink here a beer. I think that this town bewitch me. Kisses and best wishes. And rock and roll, of course!!!
