A couple days ago, a Federal judge struck down a bullshit law in California that prohibited same-sex marriage. Basically, the judge argued, “In this country, you can’t deny a whole sector of humanity their fundamental human rights solely based on the argument of ‘EEEEEW, that’s GROSS!!!’”
So to celebrate, a favorite clip of mine by the wonderful Louis C.K.:

Have you been following his new sitçom, “Louie”? It´s really good, and the first sçene of Episode 2 makes some great points about gays in soçiety.
While Judge Walker’s 138 page ruling is a fascinating masterpiece, I’ve been much more curious as to the inaction (and subsequent mindfuck)of Obama’s Justice Department in regards to the DOMA MA case. I seriously doubt Walker’s Prop 8 ruling will inspire SCOTUS conservatives and swings to lend themselves to anything further than the smallest imaginable scope. I do believe however that if and when SCOTUS took on the MA case, DOMA could potentially suffer the death it’s long deserved. I’m selfishly mixed on having the Justice Department appeal the MA decision, but if they don’t, Fall 2010 will mark the beginning of a whole new chapter in American history.
All in all…what a summer…two Republican appointed federal judges calling the batshit Christian right out on their animus. The constant smile permeating my face on these warm summer nights could certainly not be bigger, despite the ever looming shadow of Maggie Gallagher and her entourage of psychopaths.

Awesome!!!! vi las noticias mientras esperaba el avion en Atlanta. Espero que a nivel federal comience rapidamente el cambio. La verdad, que feliz de vivir aqui estos momentos historicos, equality is closer and closer and closer.
