I promised myself I wasn’t going to do this, but apparently I have no self-control whatsoever. Enjoy.  I have just discovered something that has made it difficult to concentrate on my work, family, and friendships. And that thing, Ladies and Gentlemen, is a New York public access TeeVee show from the early ’80s called STAIRWAY TO STARDOM. I am powerless to stop clicking on every episode that shows up in the side column [...]  Am I being stalked by advertising campaigns? Two days after complaining about misogynistic ads, there’s a new one that appears to be trying to right wrongs. Though I abhor violence, there is something sexy about violent women, at least the way Hollywood delivers it. I have to admit, I find the fantasy of having absolute power [...] At the World Trade Center with no pants, 1998 9-11 is a special date in my adoptive country as well as the U.S. My 9-11 story takes place in the U.S., in New York City.  Last week, the idea came to me to do a “Freaky Ladies” series of blogs. Why? Well, there are a number of strange, original, brave, and talented women in music and other arts who, in my opinion, haven’t received the recognition and prestige they deserve.
