Gay Marriage Upheld in U.S.

A couple days ago, a Federal judge struck down a bullshit law in California that prohibited same-sex marriage. Basically, the judge argued, “In this country, you can’t deny a whole sector of humanity their fundamental human rights solely based on the argument of ‘EEEEEW, that’s GROSS!!!’”

Ex-Husband Skyrockets to Success and Stardom!

On my visit to New York, I found out that my ex-husband has published four books since we split up. Plus, one’s being made into a movie.

When we met, he’d written no books.

Since everything has to be all about ME, I conclude that either I’m a great muse, or a great cork.

In any [...]

I Blame Music

Just re-posted an old story from my old blog. It’s my favorite. Check it out: http://popular1.com/rachelarieff/stories/i-blame-music/

If you’ve already read it, I plan to have something else up later today.

La Nube Negra (the Black Cloud)

We’re in a plaza in Cádiz on a warm, sunny day. I, along with a sizeable crowd of people, am admiring the old man and his parrot.

He sits alone on the bench, the huge, colorful bird perched on his shoulder. Small children crouch around him, in fear and awe of the parrot. The old man [...]
